Questions you have, but did not know who to ask!
No, you do not have to be a member to attend a monthly meeting. We encourage you to attend as a guest to see if you enjoy the fly fishing education and socialization. We do hope that after attending a meeting you will want to join our group.
We encourage members and non-members to bring interested friends and family to attend our meetings. We want to encourage anyone interested in learning more about fly fishing to come to our meetings.
Club membership dues are listed above in the downloadable application form.
We do request that attendees to outings be club members. We frequently provide lunch and refreshments at many of the outings, and the dues help support providing these extras.
Most local outings are free with no fees. Usually lunch will be provided at these outings no charge as well.
Destination outings (such as the South Carolina, Cuba, Mexico trips) will have costs for fishing licenses, lodging, guides, transportation etc., which are to cover personal expenses to attend. These trips are organized by the club, usually at reduced costs, for the benefit of members. Members attending these events are responsible for the costs they incur.
You can get advice and instructions concerning your casting technique from expert and experienced fly fishers, guides and instructors at our monthly meetings. This is usually provided before the monthly meeting starts.
We also have several full day casting clinics with certified fly casting instructors each year. Check our calendar of events to see when these clinics are offered.
